The DIY MINI.

During the pandemic and supply chain crisis, we simply couldn’t get a lot of the things we wanted—PS5s, furniture, and, worst of all, MINIs. For a lot of people that meant resorting to DIY. For MINIacs, MINI’s die-hard owner community, that meant pushing DIY to the limit.

To announce a return to normal production, we invented a fake
(but entirely plausible!) trend, and nipped it in the bud.
